HOW WE DO IT
The Saunders Company is equipped with an array of equipment to handle any job. Whether it is mass earthwork, deep utility installation, infrastructure improvement or commercial site development, we have the knowledge and ability to get any job completed above and beyond the customer’s expectation.
Our fleet, from the smallest excavators to our Caterpillar 627 scrapers, has been assembled with a great deal of thought toward optimizing production for projects here in the Pacific Northwest. We take great pride in owning the latest and best equipment available to build our projects and maintain our fleet to the highest standards. No matter the project, we can provide the equipment needed to perform it quickly, safely and to the utmost standards.

JD-245-LC
Pictured is our JD 245G LC excavator at work. With a max digging depth of 21 ft. 9 in. and a net power of 159 horsepower, it’s built to handle any job. Here you can see it pulling slopes with precision accuracy. This 245G LC is equipped some of the latest GPS/GNSS equipment on the market which can be seen on the back of the excavator. This technology allows our operators to skim the last few centimeters of a site with full confidence that their blades are right on target. What this means for us and our customers is that there will be no over digging, added safety, and precise slopes for pipelines.

D6N CAT Dozer
All 180 horse power of our D6N CAT dozer allows us to grade quickly and precisely. Our skilled operators make use of the 12.5 foot blade to cover large areas in a short amount of time. By being specially equipped with GPS/GNSS equipment our operators are able to finely grade our project to within .05’ of required precision.

9200 JD Farm Tractor with Disk
With a 256 gallon fuel tank, the 9200 Tractor allows us to operate for long periods of time and till vast amounts of soil. Pictured you can see one of our skilled operators pulling one of our disks at our job, Gracie’s Landing. We do this in order to eliminate dirt clumps and loosen any packed soil as well as process soil to optimum moisture.

Motor Grader 140G
With a width of 14 feet and length of 27 feet, our Motor Grader 140G with its 150 horsepower engine can tackle any job. Here you can see it intricately windrowing tough soil in order to prepare it for the next step of the preparatory process.

Four Axle Dump Truck
Our fleet of 6 dump trucks allow us to quickly move materials on and off a work site. With our smallest truck being able to hold about 15 tons of material to our largest dump truck being able to hold 30 tons amount of material, we have no problem moving away anything from an ant hill to a small mountain.

613C Paddle Wheel Scraper with Lowboy
Our 613C paddle wheel scraper is a earthmoving master piece. The front edge of the 613C cuts into the soil like a carpenter’s plane cutting wood no mater how hard the soil is. Our new lowboy can haul up to 105,000 lbs. and is fit to move our 613C and any other equipment we need in a quick and timely manner.

815B CAT Compactor Roller
Our 815B CAT Compactor Roller possesses a twelve foot blade accompanied by four tamping wheels which each contain 60 tips. We use this machine primarily in earthwork fills to ensure the ground is fully compacted and ready for the next step of the building process.

A 300 John Deere Haul Truck
Our two A-300 John Deere Hauls Trucks are fuel efficient, can haul a rated payload of 62,005 pounds and have a 22.9 cubic yard heaped capacity. These trucks are better than other articulated dump trucks due to their ability survive, even thrive, on rough terrain, steep slopes, and mud.

Water Truck
The newest addition to The Saunders Company is our water truck that has a holding capacity of 2,500 gallons. This truck allows us to have a steady supply of water in remote locations and help prepare the ground for excavation.
