Chris Berhorst

Chris is a lifelong resident of Yamhill County, proudly calling the Newberg area home. A graduate of Newberg High School, he entered the workforce immediately after high school, beginning his career in the fabrication industry before transitioning to the aggregate sector—where his passion for heavy equipment truly took hold.

In 2016, Chris joined The Saunders Company as a laborer and equipment operator, roles that allowed him to build hands-on expertise in the field. Operating heavy machinery remains his favorite part of the job to this day. Through dedication and skill, he advanced to aforeman position, where he now leads crews with a focus on constructing municipal water tanks—delivering reliable, high-quality infrastructure for communities throughout the region.

When he’s not on the job site, Chris enjoys hands-on projects in his spare time, particularly working on his classic Chevy Blazer. He also cherishes weekend getaways camping with his wife, embracing the outdoor lifestyle that makes Oregon so special.

With deep local roots and years of field experience, Chris brings reliability, leadership, and a genuine love for the craft to every project at The Saunders Company.
